Pizza night!

Sometime back in February or March zpizza opened at the Ward Centre. I remember it - fondly - from its early origins during my college days, but had no idea that it had gone on to become a relatively big franchise. We finally got there earlier this summer and it's even better than I remember. The staff is super friendly as well, going beyond the call of duty to help us out as we rolled in with a toddler and a preschooler in tow.
Hands-down beats Boston Pizza here, who claim to be the best pizza on the island. Even better news for us, there will be a new zpizza location coming in a yet-to-be-completed shopping and dining complex near KoOlina.

Before we left, one opened in Silver Spring, MD. But it seemed pricey. Thankfully Elysia makes pizzas or else we'd be in trouble here in Singapore. The pizza we ordered in was pretty bad...almost no sauce.

I was going to mention something about the cost, but I forgot. It was way over-priced, very good, but really expensive. And we just ordered a basic margerhita, if I remember. So it will be a true treat when we go back, as we won't head there very often. I, too, make pizza at home! Just found a dough recipe online using semolina flour and bread flour, combined with only a few teaspoons of yeast to cut down on the "yeasty" taste of dough recipes I used to use. I have to get the semolina flour in the bulk bins at a local natural food store, but worth it.
